Day 01 ARRIVE ATHENS

Arrive Athens Airport. Our representative will meet you after the customs and baggage claim with a sign. Meet and transfer to the hotel in Athens for dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 02 ATHENS

Put the best of science, art and philosophy together in one creation and you have the definitive monument of human civilization. UNESCO calls it the symbol of World Heritage. The world calls it the Athenian Acropolis! The history of the Acropolis of Athens is long, with great moments, when democracy, science, philosophy and art flourished leading to its creation. The Acropolis, and the Parthenon in particular, is the most characteristic monument of the ancient Greek civilization. It continues to stand as a symbol in many ways: it is the symbol of democracy, the symbol of the Greek civilization. It is the symbol of Western civilization and European unity.
We continue with the new Acropolis Museum, is housed in a state-of-the-art building designed by Swiss-born architect Bernard Tschumi.
In the afternoon, we will also visit the Roman Agora and the Ancient Agora (Marketplace) and have a walk in Plaka neighbourhood. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in Athens. . (B,D)


Day 03 ARACHOVA, DELPHI

After breakfast check out from the hotel and board our buses for a 2,5 - 3 hour drive towards Delphi.
We will have a break in Arahova which is a mountainous village close to Delphi. It is the most cosmopolitan winter destination in Greece, a great favourite for passionate ski lovers and celebrities. We will have some free time here to visit the Byzantine churches with well preserved frescos. The pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke, was the site of the omphalos, the 'navel of the world'. Blending harmoniously with the superb landscape and charged with sacred meaning, Delphi in the 6th century B.C. was indeed the religious centre and symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world. We will also continue to Delphi Museum. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Delphi. (B,D)


Day 04 DELPHI, NAFPAKTOS, OLYMPIA

This day we will have an early breakfast and check out from hotel, as it will be a long day! We will have a stop in town of Nafpaktos, a particularly beautiful town of 10,000 inhabitants built in the shape of an amphitheater on a pine-clad slope. Then we will continue to site Ancient Olympia to relive and revive the Olympic spirit! Our day in Olympia will end with a visit at the unique Archaeological Museum of Olympia, one of the most important museums in Greece. The museum presents the long history of the most celebrated sanctuary of antiquity, the sanctuary of Zeus, father of both gods and men, where the Olympic games were born. The permanent exhibition contains finds from the excavations in the sacred precinct of the Altis dating from prehistoric times to the Early Christian period. Among the many precious exhibits the sculpture collection, for which the museum is most famous, the bronze collection, the richest collection of its type in the world, and the large terracottas collection, are especially noteworthy. Day 05 ANCIENT MESSENE, KALAMATA, NAFPLIO

Today we will have a visit to Ancient Messene, and Museum of Ancient Messene. Then proceed to Kalamata. Kalamata is the capital of Messinian land, a lively city holding a strong cultural and historic past. See its vast olive groves, green valleys, mountains, gorges and coves. Numerous small or long sandy beaches, with calm waters or huge waves that will satisfy families or aspiring surfers. Transfer to Nafplio for dinner and overnight. (B,D)


Day 06 EPIDAURUS, MYCENAE, CORINTH, ATHENS

Depart Kavala. Walk a portion of the Via Egnatia, the great Roman road traversed by Paul and Silas as they traveled from Neapolis to Philippi,Thessalonica and onward. Drive to the Greece-Turkey border and pass the borders to the Turkish customs. End of our services.


Day 07 DEPARTURE

Transfer to the airport according to your group flight. End of our services.
